Shinji Yamanaka, a Managing Director of Brand Boutique. Pte. Ltd, was a Singapore office manager of AAIC. Yamanaka led Asia and Africa wide project mainly in research, new market entry strategy building and actual market entry for his client. Prior to joining AAIC, Yamanaka was a division manager of Beauty business in Amazon Japan. Yamanaka established Brand Boutique Pte. Ltd. to operate F&B and Beauty business in Asia and provide business consulting service to Beauty and Retail related companies, then co-founded GLOBAL ANGLE Pte. Ltd. in 2019. Yamanaka holds a Bachelor of Arts (in Intercultural Communication) from Hosei University, and an M.B.A (in Global Management) from Thunderbird School of Global Management (Class of 2013).

Shao Qi Lee is a project manager in Global Angle with more than 5 years of experience in market research. At Global Angle, she handled research projects commissioned by Japanese Cabinet Office, food manufacturers and international skincare brands, among others. She has also collaborated with clients from an array of industries, including but not limited to FMCG, Entertainment, Education, Construction and Healthcare. Apart from that, Shao Qi has conducted and managed research projects in the APAC region, helping clients to achieve their research objectives and gain insights. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics at National University of Singapore.

Dharish David (PhD) is a project manager in Global Angle with more than 10 years of experience in industry, policy and academic research. At Global Angle, he has handled research projects commissioned by the government, large MNCs and international expansion for manufacturing companies, among others. In his recent role, he was the industry research manager for a Japanese startup in Singapore, handling an analyst team covering India, ASEAN, and China across 16 main industry verticals. He has worked in several policy thinktanks including the ADBI and UNGC and consulted on various projects relating to sustainability, economic development, technology, infrastructure and finance. Dr. David received his doctorate from Waseda University (Tokyo, Japan) specializing in infrastructure development and financing. He has written several book chapters, academic articles, business insight, and thematic reports, apart from regularly writing short insight pieces and op-eds in renowned platforms such as SCMP, East Asia Forum, and Global Policy.

Manaka Tomoda is a Research Executive in Global Angle. She is fluent in English and Japanese. She has previously lived and worked in the UK as a researcher specialised in startups across multiple industries and later moved back to Asia/Japan. During her time in the UK, she has been exposed to researching different industries and specialisations ranging from FinTech, sustainability, housing supply and technology. In addition to the research projects, she was also in charge of writing articles for Japanese clients by collecting information internationally. At Global Angle, she handled research projects commissioned by huge manufacturing companies and international MNCs. She handled Japanese clients and projects relating to daily necessities and common needs. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Christian University and majored in International Relations and Literature (major/minor).

Yuki Kazama, a Research and Business Development Executive in Global Angle has previously come from a law enforcement background. She used to work at law enforcement in Japan and International organisations as an investigator and policy maker mainly in the cybercrime/financial crime area. At Global Angle, as a business development she closely coordinates with clients and proposes optimal solutions to support our clients businesses. Jody Nguyen holds a Business Development and Research position in Global Angle based in Vietnam. Prior to joining Global Angle, she has worked in legal/consultant positions in many famous companies in Vietnam (Brother Viet Nam, FPT software Vietnam – the leading software company under the FPT Group, JETRO (Japan External Trade Organization) Vietnam, and Giao Hang Tiet Kiem – the leading logistic company in Vietnam. She has extensive experience in setting up a new business, Import-Export Tax and Customs regulations (including the specific provisions in the free trade agreements (FTAs)), Software projects, Medical field (equipment purchase and sale, medical bidding, mid-range private healthcare investment), Labor (legal regulation and actual operation, including digital transformation consulting), Logistics, Postal and Telecommunication. She holds a Bachelor of Vietnamese Law from Hanoi Law University, a Law Practice License from Vietnam’s Ministry of Justice, and also a Training Certificate in Japanese Law from Nagoya University. She is well-versed in English, Vietnamese, and Japanese as well.

Susumu Tsubaki is a Representative Partner (Singapore) of AAIC Holdings. Prior to founding AAIC, Tsubaki was a Partner and Managing Director at The Boston Consulting Group (BCG), where he developed his vast professional skills and network at the Tokyo and San Francisco offices (’91-’06). At BCG, Tsubaki worked closely with clients in a wide range of industries with a special emphasis on high-tech, telecommunications, IT, entertainment content and consumer goods. Tsubaki established Asia Africa Investment and Consulting in 2008, and co-founded GLOBAL ANGEL Pte. Ltd. in 2019. Shohei Namba is a Director of AAIC. Prior to joining AAIC, Namba worked as a manager at the Platform Department at GREE, Inc., one of the largest global social gaming companies. Namba led various global projects mainly in monetization areas in Tokyo and the U.S. such as post-merger integration (PMI) of global gaming platform, global research of financial regulation and tax systems, business development and implementation of payment functions, sales KPI design and various sales promotion campaigns. Namba also served as a BPR consultant in IBM Japan, Ltd. and is experienced in multi-country such as establishment of offshore centers that included an assignment at IBM India Pte., Ltd. Namba became Managing Director of AAIC Japan and co-founded GLOBAL ANGLE Pte. Ltd. in 2019. Namba holds a Master of Science (in Science and Engineering) from Keio University.
