Background & Purpose

The Japanese governmental organisation aimed to investigate possible methods and measures to promote autonomous efforts by private business enterprises to eliminate discrimination against persons with disabilities, and the positioning of measures for persons with disabilities (PwD) from the perspective of ESG in each target overseas organization or entities in Germany, Netherlands, United Kingdom, and United States.

In Europe, it is estimated that there are at least 135 million disabled persons in the WHO European Region. In United States, 1 in 4 adults have some form of disability.

What is ESG?

ESG, also known as Environmental, Social, and Governance is a framework that evaluates an organization’s practices concerning a range of sustainability and ethical concerns.

Project Scope & Research Process

  • Select relevant benchmarks based on pre-research on their policies, direction, and activities
  • Create and propose a list of relevant organisations and experts to interview
  • Screen and interview experts in ESG topics within the scope of investment
  • Conduct online interviews with experts via web-conferencing tools
  • Analyse and create report based on results and findings
