Background & Purpose
The Japanese governmental organisation aimed to investigate possible methods and measures to promote autonomous efforts by private business enterprises to eliminate discrimination against persons with disabilities, and the positioning of measures for persons with disabilities (PwD) from the perspective of ESG in each target overseas organization or entities in Germany, Netherlands, United Kingdom, and United States.
In Europe, it is estimated that there are at least 135 million disabled persons in the WHO European Region. In United States, 1 in 4 adults have some form of disability.

ESG, also known as Environmental, Social, and Governance is a framework that evaluates an organization’s practices concerning a range of sustainability and ethical concerns.
