The Impact of Singapore’s Nutri-Grade Initiatives on the Food & Beverages Sector – Report
The Nutri-Grade system is a labelling requirement introduced by Singapore’s Ministry of Health (MOH) and Health Promotion Board (HPB) in 2022 as a long-term strategy to shape local consumer behaviour. As of the time of this report, the labelling requirements were for beverages (see Fig. 2 for more information), graded “A” (most healthy), “B”, “C”, or “D” (least healthy), according to sugar and saturated fat content. This requirement is applicable for beverages across all retail and non-retail sectors.
