Survey: B2B tea export and smart agri-tech verification

background & purpose

We conducted this B2B market research in Asian, African, and Middle Eastern countries for our client who is a startup company that products tea leaves using smart agriculture.

In order to gain deeper insights into the tea manufacturing and smart agriculture markets within these regions, we undertook a survey to 1. Select countries with potential for tea export in B2B (business-to-business consumption) with government subsidies, and 2. Verify the demand for smart agri-technology.

project scope & action

Business surveys were conducted in four countries:
- Egypt
- Kazakhstan
- Nigeria
- Saudi Arabia

We collected data from 20 buyers of the wholesale, retail, and food service industries to understand the demand of the tea manufacturing industry.

This survey was carried out by recruiting respondents, drafting questionnaire, collecting and analysing responses.

Additionally, respondents who were interested in smart farming were also asked regarding their areas of interest in the smart agriculture sector.
